Just wanted to put it out to everyone to say a prayer for Don Larson. We were riding Homer Loop this morning and while coming down Linder a dog crossed his path and he went down. Broken colar bone, hip injury, and some road rash. He didn't hit his head and never blacked out. The crash was bad and will put him out for a little bit. Bike is trashed. Fork and Handle bars broke completely off and the the frame at the head set is destroyed. Make sure you are riding with others. In this instance there was no one else able to help if Matt and I weren't riding with.
Hey friends,
I know I've chatted with a few folks over the last 6 months about the upcoming season and racing. Racing has not been a big priority for most of our crew. It's not a criticism, just an observation. Young babies, growing families, and the like have limited what everyone is interested in doing. With the exception of a few crits, I flew the Team Reel banner alone at some 20 races last year. Even the cherished cyclocross season was off the radar of many of the clubbies. Again, no criticism at all. I totally get it.
Anyone in town? Anyone up for a early morning ride tomorrow. I plan on going out at 5am from my house and will probably ride till probably 8am. If anyone is going out later I could meet up at that time as well. Route to be determined. Possibly back door to Emmitt or Dump Loop with some addition. Just wanted to get a long ride in. Any takers.
