I decided to do another post that was more obvious. If anyone is interested in doing this great event, let me know. I will forward you an e-mail that will allow you to register for free this week only.
Please send the details. If at all possible this would be a great event to support and also support a fellow teammate and his family! Thanks for the heads up Chris.
I have noticed that many of you are still in the early stages of fundraising. I came across this list today and thought it might help! I know for me, breaking things down into smaller goals that are more manageable is so much easier than looking at the big picture.
How to raise $500 in just 9 days!
Day 1 Start by sponsoring yourself for $25
Day 2 Ask 2 family members to sponsor you for $25
Day 3 Ask 10 friends to each contribute $10
Day 4 Ask 5 Co-workers to each contribute $10
Day 5 Ask 5 neighbors to each contribute $10
Day 6 Ask 10 people from your place of worship (or another gathering place) to each donate $5
Day 7 Ask your boss for a company contribution of $25
Day 8 Ask 5 businesses with which your company works for to sponsor you for $20
Day 9 Ask 2 businesses you frequent to sponsor you for $25
If each rider does this successfully, we will collectively raise $16,000 for Cystic Fibrosis in just 9 days. That’s a pretty significant contribution towards finding a cure for this disease.
Thanks again!

As far as I understand it, raising a minimum (what is it? $150'ish??) is a requirement. If you don't raise the set amount, they charge it directly to you. So def not a "free" ride... it will require some work, unless I misunderstand how it operates.
The fundraising requirement is $165.00. She is waiving the registration fee for this week. I didn't mean to imply that the ride entire ride was free. Correct...if it was totally free it wouldn't be much of a fundraiser.
If you want the free registration you need to sign up in person, by fax, etc. If you register on the website it will charge the $25.00 registration fee.
Look forward to details.
