Hey everyone, so I emailed Mike Cooley at Georges and found out that the LP 200 registration opens up on January 1st - 8:00am. They also added a personal century ride as well as a team century in addition to the regular 200. Thought I would get everyone thinking about it so we can sign up a bunch. My favorite event. Hope my team will keep me on!!! Matt, Steve and Terry - you up for it again? Here is the link for the particulars - as well as where to sign up.

sign me up!
I would like to
It has been a couple of years since I have done this event. I might have to ride a little and try to actually get in shape for this this year. It has been years since I have been in shape for it.
Bringing it back to the top
I heard rumors that alot of folks from Utah plan to sign up. Could go fast, so I thought I would bring it to the top again.
"Reel Theatre 1" is registered!
Total of $261.40. Time to rock and roll!
Reel Theatre 1 complete!
Ladd, Eric, Rob, and Terry (I heard this from Rob - sorry team 2!)
I'm good so far on my new year's resolution (to ride). I got out for 2 hours today to do a loop to Middleton. Bring on LP!
Reel Theatre 2 Signed Up
I just registered Reel Theatre 2. The last couple years Terry, Tony Steve and I have ridden together and I'm perfectly happy to keep this team intact pending the other riders' approval. I know other teams are shuffling riders a little bit and if we end up shuffling our team that's okay too. Let's get the dialogue going to figure out who's riding and on what team!
Love to ride...
with you guys again. So if you want me on board Matt, I give my approval - Ha. We do need to make sure everyone has a spot that wants to ride- so that we get enough teams registered. Seems to be going faster this year. 20 teams signed up and its just the first day.
Reel Theatre # 2 Intact and Going for Three-peat!
Okay, I heard back from Terry, Steve and Tony and it looks like we're keeping our team intact. Giddyup, muchachos.
I Need a Team
I am looking to get on a team if anyone is in need of a rider. I promise to be prepared. I am good at filling water bottles. I can cook. I have a resume if you need one. HAHA.
I need a team also
Can someone adopt me?
Reel Theatre 3 signed up
So far have Jason Slatter and myself committed. Need to fill out the rest of the team either with previous teammates or new recruits.
Team 3
I am in need of a team. Let me know if that works for you guys.
Steve & Chris - you have been accepted
After a vigorous background check and debate, Dan and I have decided to extend an exclusive invitation to you both to join the Reel Theatre #3 team. This invitation also confirms your positions as the #1 and 2 riders on the team. We'll let you guys fight it out as to which one of you takes the #1 position and gets to take on the toughest stages! Congrats!
Now Accepting Applications...
Well, Terry has decided to jump from the most winningest LP200 Team Reel team in history to the not-so-winningest Team Reel team. [Of course, if I had the chance to ride with my brother, I would have made the same move...]
Anyways, this means we now have a slot to fill in the Reel Theatre #2 team. The team currently consists of, Steve "and this isn't even my bike" Olsen, Tony "three flats and I'll still beat you" Mauer and me, "M1".
Job requirements: A really cool nickname. Or a lame nickname, but something that will help us three-peat, like: 1) a bike; 2) excessive weight or age to inflate our handicap; or 3) roofing nails to drop in front of attacking riders.
Wait
What was my nickname? Anyway, yeah I couldn't pass up the chance to ride with Rob, Ladd, and Eric. I'm gonna have to teach them the winning ways of Team Reel Theater #2.
Slowjoe?
Does Slowjoe work for a nick name? It is one that was given to me when I was in high school. I would like to do it. I don't have a team and think this would be fun. Anyways no big deal if my 180 lb never ride a bike butt isn't welcome, but did want to check.
Sounds about right
This week I started my official get my fat butt back in shape regimine. I hurt so bad I keep asking why I let myself go so far off the deep end?
ABSOLUTELY!
Harris, welcome aboard Reel Theatre Team 2! There's absolutely no resemblance between you and the nickname "Slowjoe", but as a sandbag tactic I like it.
Terry "pulled us to victory" Deeble, we'll miss you. And enjoy your upcoming second place finish... :)
I Agree
I agree with Matt, Harris welcome aboard. We are gonna have a blast. Looking forward to riding with everyone. We will miss you Terry - but we will see you out there!
(I think we need a video camera)
Team three is going to have
Team three is going to have a powerful advantage, more cameras. Beware!
which is more powerful?
More camera? or MORE COWBELL?????
No question
I'm gonna have to go with COWBELL!
Reel Theatre 3 needs to plan!
LP 200 is getting close. Team Reel Theatre 3, please get me your email address so we can start planning. Shoot me an email (mine is daniel_b_gale@hotmail.com) and I'll start a discussion once I have all three.
plan-sman
Reel 1 will flip a coin and fill it out at the starting line! :)
Track your times...
Let's keep track of who rode each stage and their times for our three teams on LP200. We could post the results. I'm not expecting any fast times from our team (at least not myself) but I'd love to get an idea how we compare with the best! It's as easy as writing down the riders for each stage and the clock time that the transition happened. We can figure out the splits later.
We do every year
Here's our "top secret" stash of all logged times from the original Team Reel. :)
