Those that skipped our mountain ride on Sat really missed out... it was a perfect winter ride and we all had a blast. It's tough to fill you in better than a little video can though. :)
We were thinking the same thing. It's going to a be a lot colder this time though, so we should be able to hit any trail this time. I'm showing 13° at 8am with a high of 26° for the whole day. I need to do morning still though, schedule-wise.
While it's good they're out policing things for the common idiot... I think an actual time cutoff is stupid. If the trails thaw by 9am, then they should be closed at 9am. If the trails are frozen hard all day, then let'er rip. Sounds good in theory but there's no way that 10:30 just happens to always work. People that may have otherwise not gone out on a warm day will say "hey, they're open until 10:30!". :) Just my thoughts anyway...
Last weekend everything was frozen on the upper trails but I'm sure the trails down below were mush before the sun even came up (it was 35 at sunrise in town).
I also find it interesting that the mountain bikes usually seem to take the most heat, as far as damage to trails, but the worst photos they include don't have a tire track in them. The runners need to wise-up too it seems.
Since it looks like I will be the proud owner of a new Salsa Spearfish as of Friday at around 3:30 I will be anxious to hit the frozen tundra. The video looked fun and I want in.
Nice!
That was a fun ride. Does this mean there is feature length video coming? ;)
Vaporware (vaporflick)
Yeah. Scheduled for release in the summer... of 2012.
Two thumbs up!
A shoe-in for best actor and best cinemetography.
4 popcorns
The stunt work was phenomenal. I need to get the new version of iLife!
Anyone doing a similar ride this Saturday?
I am thinking about maybe doing an early Sat. mtn ride. What is everyone else thinking/planning?
yes

Play nice
We seem to to a good job and are conscience of the damage of the trails but I guess some trails are in really poor condition right now. Just a reminder.
