By "skiing", I'm sure you all know to think of skate skiing!!!
Anybody want to carpool up to Bogus next week and do some skiing? I don't have any set times, so let me know what works for you.
(ps -- I'd even consider heading up with a knuckle dragger and boarding for a few runs, or taking my tele-gear and get the lift assist. But I'll be hitting the skate trails no matter what.)
Skate Skiing
I am up for starting up a Tuesday night skate night. Not sure if I will be ready by next week to get it going but after Christmas and the new year I would like to start heading up regularly. I need to get back in shape somehow, so I might as well suffer that way and have fun at the same time :)
Skiing
Eric, Nate, Harris anyone else up for this?
Yeah
I'll be up for a few here and there but will have to play it by ear a bit.
As far as next week. I think Tues the 23rd might just have my name on it but I'll see as we get closer.
Sounds awesome
I would like to head up as well. I can't next week at all, but after the holidays I would love to head up and doing some skiing.
Sure
I'm up for a couple trips.
The snow's great -- come on out!
I headed up to the nordic center today and they had plenty of snow -- the season has begun!
January
OK, so today turns out not to be so good. :) I'll try for January after my schedule is more back to normal.
Actually -- today was great!
I couldn't decide between tele and skate skiing, so I took both. The downhill area was great, lots of snow. Only bare in a few spots. Fun times, except that my thighs got hammered, so after a while I wimped out and stopped with the tele turns in favor of regular downhill turns.
Then I hit the nordic center and skiied the lower loop. Beautiful, didn't see another person down there. The trail was maybe a little soft, but I won't complain since they had plenty of snow.
