Whatever you call it, that ride rocks! You head west of Stanley a bit, and then turn opposite of Stanley Lake. The ride has a few miles of climbing (too steep for me, I had to walk a lot of it) but then you're rewarded with a ton of fun downhill. Lots of technical sections, fast & open roads, tight stuff, wide meadows, rocky bits, several wide stream crossings, BAM! Just way too much fun. I need to get back there soon to make sure I wasn't dreaming. This may be my new favorite ride...
True that!
Myself, Tom, Steve, Wayne, and Bobby Peterson took a group of teenage scouts mountain biking in the Sun valley/Stanley area this past week. On Tuesday we did the chairlift runs at Sun Valley and talk about looong downhill runs with tight very single track high speed fun. Wednesday we did Potato Mountain and had a great time. It truely has a bit of everything, a must do ride!
One of my very favorite rides is the East Creek of Lake Fork (I think) which was the second ride we did in Mcall on Friday. For me that was great fun and a must do again and again.
