IN

Yeah I think I'm game for this one. FYI for those without all the rides in their calendars... this is the same day as the 1/2 Ironman and the Soldier Mountain XC races. Also it's one week after Lyle Pearson and a week before Elkhorn. Good for a last long ride before Elkhorn since we're all going, right!? :)

I am in if I am not doing the 1/2 ironman.

Time to sign up for Bob LeBow!

We've got until Monday -- May 31 -- to sign up! (After that date, the price goes up and Team Reel doesn't get credit) So sign up today and let me know what you're in for.

I'm thinking Jenny and I will do that metric that we didn't get last Saturday.

ladd's picture

signed up

Jenny and I are signed up for the metric. Let me know when you sign up and I'll add it to the initial post.

To those who posted above (Eric, Harris, & Dave) did you sign up and for what distance?

To everyone else -- sign up! :)

I signed up

for the Metric Century.

62 Miler

I signed up for the 62 miler just now. Thank you for the reminder Ladd!

Waiting

I am waiting to see how my back holds up on the LP200. I don't want to sign up if I can't ride it. So I am sorry my registration will not count for our team numbers but I am hoping to be out there anyways.

ladd's picture

C'mon - sign up for the metric!

If your back is strong, then you can hammer with Brad. If it's acting up, then you can ride it at a casual pace with me and Jenny.

In....

Nate is doing the 63. Robert, Sandy, Cody, Jennifer, and I will be doing the 35.

rob deeble's picture

Deeble's will be in

The Deeble clan will be out in force.

J.J will most likely do the 62 miles
Rob, Reagan, and Kaitlynn, will do 35 miles
Jacque will do 10 miles probably with terri's wife Cheri.

Harris, you could always pull Carson and do the 35 miles with our crew.

Out

Well I just found out that we will be FLorida sitting on a beach soaking up the rays and drinking ice cold soda.

rob deeble's picture

The Deeble 5 are official

We are signed up and ready to go. Thank you Ladd for taking the lead to get us the team discount.

tom's picture

Kerry and Kate in for 35

Tom still mulling his distance, 35 or 100? Tony is the key to the answer.

ladd's picture

Last day!

Today is the last day to sign up as part of "Team Reel", so if you miss it the fees go up by $10! Come join the fun! Call me if you have any problems registering...

Tony's picture

Tom said I was a wimp

Tom said I was a wimp if I didn't sign up for 100 miles. So I am signed up - hopefully not to make a wimp out of my rearend!

We're in!

We barely got in on time but Bob and I are signed up for the 62 miler. Hope it's sunny!

tom's picture

Nah, no wimps here

I think what I remember is that just two days prior to our conversation, Tony and I rode separate 72 mile killer training rides on Saturday for free. I thought, hey, (unless you are chaperoning your own kids,) why donate for a 62 mile ride when a 100 mile ride will remind us how big of wimps we really are.

Safety:
Everyone’s safety is our primary concern. Remember that the Bike Tour is not a race, but an event involving bicycles. The event is focused on being fun, safe, and family oriented.

Ride Safely:
· Must wear a helmet at all times while on the route.
· Please don’t wear IPOD or music ear pieces in both ears.
· Be careful in intersections for sand or loose gravel (common accident in a tour event is losing traction when turning in a sandy corner at too high a rate of speed)
· Give each other space to ride and be predictable. Don’t stop in the roadway. Move off the roadway if you need to stop.
· Ride single file on busy roads. It allows other cyclist and cars to pass you more easily.
· A word about Pace Lines – if you don’t already know how to ride in one, Saturday, June 12th Bike Tour is NOT the day to start.
· You have the ability to shed clothing and you will get it back at the end of the ride.

Rest Stops
There will be 13 Rest Stops along the way. The primary function is to provide fuel for you so that you can finish the ride easily. Water, sports drinks, fruit and other snacks, and restrooms will be available at convenient distances on the 10, 25, 35, 62, and 100 mile tours.

First Aid
First aid will be available at the TRHS Marsing Clinic, Homedale Clinic, and Melba Clinic. Limited first aid supplies will be available at all other rest stops. Clinicians will be posted at most of the rest stops.

Sag Wagons and Other Safety Information
Sag wagons will drive the various routes to aid bikers with mechanical problems, flats, etc. Look for the Bob LeBow Bike Tour logo on the side of the car or truck.

Ham Radios
Members of the Voice of Idaho Amateur Radio ham radio club will also patrol the course. They will provide instant communications with Voice of Idaho members at the bike tour registration headquarters at Nampa High. Voice of Idaho will sweep each course to make sure no one is unintentionally left behind. A final sweep will leave the TRHS Marsing Clinic at 4 PM and cover the remainder of the 62 and 100 mile loops. At that time, any remaining riders will be given the option to get a lift back to Nampa High School or to proceed on their own without support.

Please join us for post ride festivities.
11:30 AM - 2:30 PM BBQ lunch and entertainment will be provided by Todd
The Bob LeBow Bike Tour would not be possible without your enthusiastic support. Thank you!

WE LOOK FORWARD TO A GREAT BIKE TOUR!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR CONTRIBUTING TO THE BOB LEBOW BIKE TOUR TO HELP OUR ZERO PAY FUND. The

Thank you!
Suzette

How many?

Do we know how many from our team have signed up??

If Ladd's figures are correct...

it looks like we will have 27 riders for Team Reel. Pretty impressive! (I'm not sure what the specific numbers from the cycling club are. Some of the riders are children of club members.)

ladd's picture

at least 37

I've added a few more names to the initial message, but with all of Brent's family, we're somewhere around 37! At the REI early packet pick-up, the team box for "Invent" was the biggest, but it looked like we had the next biggest box.

Great job Team Reel! Should be a great event, and I'm going to be careful and follow Dan out of Nampa! Those events can get as crazy as a crit... :)
