The weather turned out to be great for the Chicken Dinner race, which made it a good experience for my first time out. My results weren't spectacular (finished 23rd out of 31 finishers) but it was a lot of fun. I would have done better if I hadn't cracked about 4 miles from the finish, but I still managed to average 20.04 miles an hour which is high for me.
I carpooled out there with Matt, which was a huge help. He helped me out with a few details I wouldn't have know otherwise (like putting your race number on your left side. He also loaned me a set of wheels because I broke the cardinal rule and managed to mess mine up by tinkered with them Saturday night. Thanks a ton Matt.
I am looking forward to Emmett-Roubaix in a few weeks!!!

Good Job!
Excellent work out there! I know the feeling of having the legs fall off with the finish line in sight. Everyone tells me, the more you do, the better you are at hanging on for the finish.
Keep up the good work!
Nice work
And I'm shocked that Matt would show up to a race with a bunch of extra wheels... ha!
Good job!
Dude... 23rd out of 31 is great! I DNF'd so many when I started it was embarrassing. Actually, there's no "was" about it... I still can't hang half the time.
Nice work!
