Windy! Saw the Denning clan and others, we had at least 10 folks start off for the 62 mile course. Fun ride, but the wind took it's toll. This seemed a log longer than a metric usually does, but cool all the same. My only complaint, at the 2nd rest stop, they had watery Gatorade, peanuts, and graham crackers. Nothing that's really "quick" energy. No bananas or oranges. No fig bars. So Jenny was pretty tired by this point and about 1 mile afterwards was asking when the next rest stop was! :) The lunch was great because there was NO LINE.

Congrats to Shelly for her new PB (longest ride so far). And kudos to JJ, who refused the draft and pushed into the wind by herself the whole way.

Ok, so folks are supposed to be writing race/event reports on the blog. I want to hear from some of the 100 mile folks -- what was that like with all the WIND???

Crackers

The graham crackers had some kind of cream cheese sandwiched between them and they were extremely delicious, if not nutritionally sustaining.

JJ Rocks

Love the JJ report! Good ride. Next time I'll be in town for it.
