Installment two of the TdF will be Thursday the 17th. We will be meeting at LDS Church parking lot on Boise Ave near BSU (map coming). We'll ride out to Lucky Peak and back down to Joe's Crab Shack on the river. We should have some beautiful roads and weather. After food, we'll take a leisurely route back which may, or may not, include some form of ice cream or frozen yogurt. We will likely ride about 24-26 miles. (more miles before eating than after). You should come and bring a date. The pace is mellow and chatty (mostly Rob and Lucas). This is a perfect date night ride. We will even bring a backpack or two for shorts and shirts if watching everyone eat in spandex is problematic. :) so, who is coming?
The return route here could be greenbelt, MMR doesn't allow that so I just picked some streets. :)
Rob and JJ are in
These are great rides, come join the fun. What time are we meeting at the church? See you there.
no can do
We have a child (ok, teen) with a birthday party that night, so we'll be chaperoning a host of giggly girls...
MAYBE. . .
Paula and I may be in, pending a couple things: 1) we need to find a sitter for the kids, which we are working on; and 2) I have a scout den meeting that gets over around 5:45ish. Unless the meeting time is 6:30 or later, I doubt we'll be able to make it downtown in time. . . BUT perhaps a group could leave from Hobble Creek on the bikes around 6 and meet the rest of the group at Joe's at 6:45 for dinner and the back 1/2 of the ride?
Would that work?
More = good
Because we will have more light now, I am fine with rolling out a little later to include everyone who wants to come. 6:15-30 meetup, 6:40 rollout? Yay, nay? We can stay in contact by phone to monitor distance etc.
UPDATE
I just talked to Paula and learned we have a sitter lined up for the kids, so we're good to go. We'll probably ride down to Joe's from HC, leaving at 6, and meet the group there.
Solid!
Sounds good! See you there. I expect we'll arrive at about 7:30.
Tom & Kerry
We're in. We'll ride from home to burn off any extra calories. We'll try and time it from our house to be there at 6:30-ish. We'll be pushing it for time since we have some errands to finish that will put us close to our leave time from our house but we'll get there.
Sweetness!
Excited you guys will be joining us.
Meet-up reminder: For those doing the pre-food ride, we're meeting in the LDS Church parking lot on Boise Ave

mmmmm.... craaab.
I tried running yesterday for some bad reason and realized the "running muscles" haven't been used since the last time I ran about a year ago. If I'm able to walk I'll be there. Or if someone has one of those hand crank bikes I'll make it regardless of my ability to walk.
Awesome night!
What an enjoyable evening! Tom and Kerri and JJ and myself left Hobble Creekand rode down to meet up with Chris and Ali as well as Lucas. The night could not have ben any better for riding.
We rode out to the Harris Ranch area and then met up with Matt and Paula on the Grren Belt by Warm springs Golf Course. We now had 9 Team Reel clad cyclists cruising to Joe's Crab Shack. They set us up with a table outside on the patio and we enjoyed good food and great company! Then, a leisurely stroll back home. We will continue to hold these great events and hope to see more join us all the time.
Agreed
That was a great ride, great food and great company. Paula and I are looking forward to more of these!

Great Video
Looks like a blast... I'm pretty sure I saw Rob win... twice. ;)
How fun!
That looks like a lot of fun....hope we can make it sometime. That's my kind of ride: ride, eat ride. :)
