I wanted to share what I think is a pretty cool accomplishment by one of our younger riders. If this sounds like a proud dad going on about his daughter, guilty as charged. Friday morning my 11 year old daughter Kaitlynn and my wife J.J wanted to climb Bogus. Neither of them had done so before. J.J. rode up at her pace and I rode up with Kaitlynn. J.J was thrilled to finally make it to the top. What a cool experience when Kaitlynn rode into the parking lot and accomplished her goal. Awesome! She now wants to try the Twilight Crit. Her Teem Reel Jersey is a little big, but I think it would be cool to have some little team Reel Theatre cyclists out there representing. I believe one of the Haskell boys is racing the junior race as well. Anyways, just wanted to share and see you all this weekend.
Very Cool
That is very cool. Carson is also wanting to race Twilight. A little different field but it will be fun to see him do it.
Never too young to start!
That's awesome! I knew she could do it. Harris, have you told Carson that he has to start shaving his legs now? : ) It will be really cool to see our "young guns" out there.
Huzzah for both JJ and Kaitlynn!
But Rob, I'm a little disappointed that you made Kaitlynn carry all the food/water/tools/spares/etc. Next time you need to carry your own gear! :)
Very cool
That is awesome! I know a lot of people much older that probably couldn't have made that climb. Very cool!
Very cool indeed!
I'm so impressed...way to go!
