It was a great night to ride Bogus, even if it was nice and warm. I think the two rides up Landmark Summit helped me out. I shaved almost four minutes off my previous time...made it in 1hr 17min 45sec. I am stoked. I finally think my goal of 1hr 15min is in reach.

congrats!
That's a great time. I blew up trying to hang with that front pack. It's been a while since my lungs and throat have burned as bad as they did today.
I was wondering..
what happened when I saw you on your way down. Those guys were going way to fast for me...good job staying with them that far.
Nice work
1:17 is a dream to me. I think I am still hovering in the 1:28 range.
Racing License?
Hey dave5oh-
I'm new here, I posted a quick bio on the forum. Pleased to meet you! I'm training for the Boise to Bogus race later this month. I would love to go up the hill with you when you're training, if you want someone to go with.
Also, I have a question. I'm considering getting my racing license (I've never raced before) before the race. However, it's 60 bucks and I would have to renew it in January. Would you recommend I scoop it up now, or would it be better just to wait until the next season?
Thanks,
James
License
First of all, welcome to the club :-) I don't think you need a license for the BBHC. The only reason to get one this late in the year is if you want to do cyclocross. I will try to keep posting my Bogus rides when I can. I'd be more than happy to have you along.
Dave
Thanks
Thanks for the welcome, Dave. Let me know when you're heading to Bogus and hopefully I can make it work too. Good to know about the license, too.
