MooseCross interest?
Hey team... cyclocross is coming up really quick and I was just browsing over the calendar. MooseCross seems like a good weekend and doesn't overlap other local races this year. Is anybody interested in heading over for it? I've only heard good things about the race. Oct 2nd & 3rd are the races. Looks like we could probably even race a few times each day with the masters categories they have listed also. http://www.moosecross.com/

I am interested in going up for the weekends racing. More so if you do end up finding a place to crash and we get a group to carpool up, etc.

I might have a place we can all go and crash. My sister lives over there and has a huge basement we could take over. I will check and make sure that would work. It would be a fun event to go do.
In for Sure
Mel and I are going. We will be leaving Friday and coming home Sunday. We have a house to stay at and could bring others as well. If people want to ride with us that is cool. We have a few extra seats in our rig.

I just need to run it by Cheri but I am most likely good to go. Eric or Harris, would there be room for Cheri to come as well? Thinking it might be fun to have someone watch the kids and hang with the Mrs. At any rate, I should be able to make it happen.

I just got off the phone with Misty (Mel's sister) and she says it is fine for anyone who wants to come can. She has a big basement with plenty of space for air mattresses or just laying on the floor. She would like a rough head count if possible so let me know.
Victor I found out i about 45 minutes from her house so we need to keep that in mind when getting ready to go.

I am trying to get in. I might have a bike by then but am just waiting for $$$ to come through the university system. Takes forever sometimes. Anyone have a bike to borrow till then?

As for the car pooling. I have an Expedition that has 8 seat belts. However the back seat really should only sit 2 adults. The middle seat can sit 3 comfortably. Melinda and I will be going as well as Amelia and Carson. So I have 4 seats taken and 2 of those are kids. But if somebody doesn't' mind riding with kids we will be leaving Friday afternoon sometime and returning Sunday sometime. I have fit 3 bikes on my rig but depending on how many people come will have limited cargo space. So Ladd you could not bring your 5 hockey bags full of stuff.
We honestly don't care of people want to jump in with us. Our kids travel really well so not trying to scare any one off.
Let's figure this out.
OK, I'm still game for this. It sounds like Harris is in for sure... Brad, Terry & Chris are maybe? Harris has room for a person or two and their bikes, but not their gear. :) Sound right?? Who else has a good traveling vehicle if we need another rig?

We have room for gear but not GEAR. Rob couldn't bring his 5 sets of wheels and 3 bikes. Ladd couldn't bring his 2-5 95 lb hockey bags. But we do have some room for some gear.
Scheduling conflict
Found out yesterday that I have some floor work that weekend so I am out. Lame!

Head counts
Alright Moosecross is this weekend. I will be needing headcounts of people who are planning on staying at my sisters. She just wants to know. Also it is time to get this figured out so we can have some plans set up. Come on people those who raced last weekend have to have to bug right now and need more racing.

I hate to say... but my interest is waining. I'm getting some negative feedback on being gone all weekend for conference, etc and now all I can think about is 10+ hours of driving for an hour race. I'm going soft I think. You may need to represent for us Harris. :)

Well Mel has been telling me over the weekend she doesn't want to go so if nobody is going we will not be going either. Not a big deal for us. I would be down for doing a big cross practice race on saturday if we end up not going.
Saturday the 9th
I am sorry to say but I will not be heading up to Moosecross this weekend. It sounds like a really good time but with everything I need to get done before Eagle Island, and upcoming work trips I just do not see how I can fit it all in. I am planning on going to Eagle Island Saturday morning instead and doing a "training" race instead. To anyone going to Moosecross, have a blast, to anyone not going (do not let me talk you out of it, I am sure it will be a blast), you are welcome to join in.
